Juan López Torres has a broad corporate and commercial business law practice with considerable experience in private company matters including litigation and arbitration proceedings.

Mr. López graduated in Law from the Universidad de Navarra in 2002. He obtained the Thomson-Aranzadi Prize for the best academic scores in class.

When he was only 21 years old, he began his professional career at the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez, one of the most prestigious Spanish law firms. At first he formed part of the Corporate Law Department, and afterwards he joined the Dispute Resolution Team, where he stayed over five years in two different periods between 2002 and 2012.

In 2012 he started his own legal practice as López Torres Abogados.

Juan provides legal advice to clients in a broad range of corporate and commercial areas, including but not limited to complex corporate transactions and all types of conflicts. Mr. López Torres has also a wide experience in Foundations Law.

He has also been involved in major arbitration proceedings and dispute resolution matters. He provides legal advice as a practitioner before the Spanish civil and commercial courts in a wide variety of matters such as corporate conflicts, corporate social responsibility, wills, breach of contract or banking products, among others.

Juan provides legal advice on the drafting and negotiation of all kinds of contracts including sales of goods, lease agreements or general terms and conditions.

Lecturing

Juan López Torres is associate Professor in the area of Corporate and Commercial Law in the following studies since 2012: Corporate Law (MUDE), Tax Advice (MUAF) and Access to the Bar Association (MAAB), University of Navarre.
